Company Background & brief

The Maslow Foundation supports those in transition from custody or probation. They currently do this through a referral, contacting users via text or phone call, establishing their needs before referring them to specific services. However there are few issues with this approach including participant availability, anxiety and privacy concerns and inconsistent data collection.

The solution the Maslow Foundation came up with was to create a chatbot to act as the "first point of contact". This chatbot would engage the user in a short initial conversation about their current situation. After the conversation, they'll be able to schedule a call with a co-ordinator at the Maslow Foundation.
